Genetic and CODIS Identity Analyses

CBI has combined its operations with Fairfax Identity Labs to perform this service. FIL is accredited as a DNA Data Base laboratory for analysis of samples for entry into the FBI Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) database. FIL has provided a commercial, high throughput, and low cost source for this service.

Accreditations

FIL has been inspected and accredited by the National Forensic Science Technology Center, St. Petersburg, and Florida. Inspections are performed on a bi-annual basis. FIL is fully compliant with all requirements for DNA Database laboratories. FIL also conforms to CLIA and GLP, Good Laboratory Practices. All requirements of Chain of Custody, sample security, laboratory security and documentation, and contamination control are observed. All validation and proficiency testing is performed as required.
