DNA/RNA Oligonucleotide Synthesis

CBI offers DNA synthesis on a 50nmol, 0.2, 1, or 15 µmol scale. 50nmol level DNA synthesis is ideal for sequencing primers, PCR primers, and adapters or linkers for subcloning projects. 1 µmole synthesis is suitable for antisense DNA or repetitive PCR. Purification by RPC, HPLC, or PAGE is also available. CBI also specializes in synthesis of modified oligonucleotides, e.g., 5' phosphate-on, biotinylated, phosphorothioate, flourescent, etc.

Coupling efficiencies exceed 98% and the crude oligo can usually be used directly for PCR or DNA sequencing. For standard oligo synthesis, the turnaround time is 24-48 hours, quality control is performed on each sample, and a gel photo is provided.

CBI is known as a world leader in high quality, custom RNA synthesis. We have specialized over the past 6 years in modified RNA synthesis and have dedicated a portion of our synthesis facility to RNA synthesis exclusively.

For RNA, we offer 1 µmol-scale syntheses. Turnaround time is approximately 5 to 7 working days, and quality control is performed on each oligo. Purification of RNA is provided by HPLC or PAGE, and a quality control gel photo is provided. Larger scale synthesis is also available (please inquire). Chimeric DNA/RNA and modified RNA oligonucleotide syntheses are available.
