CBI now offers real-time quantitative PCR services. CBI provides expert assay development and standard assays for expression studies or for target gene detection. CBI's state of the art service uses the latest in TaqMan technology and the PE-Biosystems 7700 Sequence Detection System.

CBI offers custom synthesis of TaqMan primers and probes and can incorporate the latest technological advances in the design of the probes.

Each probe is synthesized with a reporter dye (FAM or VIC) and a quencher dye (TAMRA). Once annealed, TaqMan probes are cleaved by the 5'-3' nuclease activity of Taq polymerase resulting in release of reporter signal dye and detection by the instrument.
