CBI features three basic sequencing strategies tailored and streamlined to meet the needs of the individual investigator:

 I. Econo Sequencing; Low cost, high throughput: CBI was first to introduce this low cost concept for high volume, single pass DNA sequencing, designed for the experienced molecular biologist or the cost-conscious neophyte. You provide a colony containing a vector with the insert to sequence, we isolate the template, run a sequence reaction and forward the results to you for analysis and processing. Standard primers are available at no cost. We design and synthesize non-standard primers at our standard low rates.

    Econo-Sequencing is offered as either SS or DS sequencing. For the experienced molecular biologists, DS Econo-Sequencing is an excellent low cost alternative to comprehensive double strand sequencing.

    Econo-Sequencing is the ideal alternative for the identification of subclones or for verification of cloned PCR products. Turnaround time is particularly rapid for these projects since primers can all be selected and synthesized from the known sequence.

    Econo-Sequencing can be streamlined to meet your needs. Price adjustments are available if you supply the template, primers, or if you request additional services (editing, alignment, assembly, etc.). Priced per reaction or project, this guaranteed service provides sequence data for as low as $0.10 per base! Price and throughput are dependent on volume.

II. Comprehensive Sequence Analysis; accurate, publishable double strand sequence: CBI also offers a complete sequencing service. You provide the template and we perform comprehensive double strand sequence analysis for one package price. This guaranteed service provides accurate sequence for $1-$2 per base pair or lower, depending on size and type of project.

III. Announcing Seq-AID; accurate, publishable, double strand sequence from difficult to sequence templates: CBI has great success in tackling tough-to-sequence clones. High or low GC sequences can be extremely challenging and require special techniques and attention. Our sequencing technologists have years of experience with difficult sequences, and have a very high rate of success. Please let us know before we start if you have a tough to sequence template. The price for this service will depend on the sequencing project. Please inquire.
Any template is acceptable: If requested, template DNA will be purified for a nominal charge.
Most sequencing projects are specialized and require a quotation.
