Miscellaneous Analyses and Services

AMINO ACID ANALYSIS

   Amino Acid Analysis is typically performed by acid or base hydrolysis of protein or peptide samples. Short time anlayses in propionic acid/HCl are also routine. Quantitative determination of all residues (inlcuding Trp, Pro, and HyPro) is possible at the 800 fmol level, although the standard dynamic range is 10-100 pmoles. At CBI, we perform reduction and alkylation of samples with iodoacetamide, iodoacetic acid, or 4-vinyl pyridine for determination of Cys. We offer timed hydrolyses for quantitative determination of Ser and Thr, and methanesulfonic acid hydrolysis for Trp. Standard Amino Acid Analysis is $50.00 per sample. ANTIBODY INDUCTION/PURIFICATION

   Immune conjugates can be prepared with virtually any carrier protein, and we offer 90 day standard immunization protocols in rabbits. You will receive preimmune serum and four ELISA titered production bleeds. Other immunization protocols are available. We also prepare MonoClonal Antibodies, if requested. SPECTROSCOPY, MASS SPEC, & CALORIMETRIC ANALYSIS

   All varieties of Spectroscopy and Calorimetry are available. Mass Spectral Analysis is available as MALDI or ES/MS techniques. The process will reveal the molecular weights of all species present in the sample and will indicate the concentration of your protein relative to contaminants. At least 20 pmoles of sample is preferred, but good data can be obtained with less. Turnaround time is usually three (3) days. Please e-mail or call for prices.

MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES
